The Breton T-shirt

Bonjour! Ça va? Welcome back to The British Fashion Notebook where today’s post is all about those horizontal stripes, or the correct term for them is the Breton. This is because the oh so famous striped sailor shirt originated in Brittany, France!

Today I paired the top, which was a bargain find in TKMAXX for only £5.99, with 3/4 length white trousers (Matalan) and some white pumps (Firetrap). The sun has been shining once again in Cornwall so I made sure to take advantage of that. I also added a denim shirt to throw over the top (Vintage) for when the south westerly winds take away from the sunshine and it adds a casual feel to the over all look. Throw on some sunnies, a cute oversized clutch and some bright orange lipstick (Revlon Matte lip balm in Audacious) and you are good to go.

SHOES: Firetrap
CLUTCH: Primark

NAIL POLISH: Maxfactor Glossfinity in Cerise
